Giving Them a Little Scream

Whenever there is a new movie that becomes available, I like to host a movie night in my condo at Boulevard 88 in Singapore. I have all of my friends come over, pop up some popcorn, dim the lights, and host the movie for everyone to enjoy. At the latest movie night, the movie was a horror movie. I love horror movies the most, because they give me a good scare, and sometimes they have a bit of a mystery element involved where you have to figure out who is behind all of the scary moments that are being created. Other people sometimes can’t handle the genre and will turn their heads and cover their eyes in fear.

At the start of the movie night, everything was happening like normal. We were all sitting down with our eyes glued to the movie while stuffing popcorn in our faces. As the horror scenes in the movie appeared, some people started screaming and covering their eyes, and I thought it was pretty funny. It’s those kinds of moments in films that I look forward to the most. The tension that comes when you know something is about to happen just can’t be topped by anything else.

Once the movie was over, I noticed that I was pretty much one of the only people that didn’t scream during the entire movie. Maybe I’ve just been watching horror movies for so long that I don’t run from them like other people. The next movie is going to be a comedy, so people who were too scared to watch anything will be able to relax for a bit, at least, until the next horror film comes out. I should have a marathon of nothing but horror films, but I don’t think anyone else will come to see that.
